Meet Our Pastor
Pastor J. Matthews
A son, husband, father, and shepherd called to serve the people of Los Angeles. Pastor J. has been preaching the gospel for over two decades with a heart for the hurting and a mission to raise a generation that won't stop praising God.
He believes the Church should be the warmest place in the city — and he's building it that way, one Sunday at a time.

Church History
St. Matthew Tabernacle of Praise — affectionately called The S.T.O.P. — was planted in Los Angeles with one simple mission: build a place where every soul could find rest, every story could find hope, and every voice could lift praise to God.
From a few faithful families to a thriving multi-generational church, the journey has been marked by God's grace, community impact, and a refusal to stop praising — even in hard seasons.
